Film Classifications

Entry to films is restricted by the classification given by the British Board of Film Classification. We are required to refuse admission to anyone who is, or appears to be, below the minimum age required by the relevant classification:

  • Anyone can be admitted to films classified as U or PG
  • Children under 12 can be admitted to films classified as 12A, but only if accompanied by an adult (i.e. someone over 18).
  • Nobody under the age of fifteen can be admitted to films classified as 15.
  • Nobody under the age of eighteen can be admitted to films classified as 18.
  • We reserve the right to require you to prove your age with appropriate photographic ID if you are going to a 12A, 15, or 18 film.
  • If you are unable to prove your age you will be not be able to watch the film.
  • We reserve the right to ask for such proof at any time you are on our premises.
  • Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • Babies under the age of 1 are not permitted except under the following circumstances:
    • The film is classified as U or PG and is aimed at families, as designated by the management.
    • The performance starts before 7pm.
    • They are removed from the auditorium should they cause disturbance to other patrons during the performance Where permitted, babies will be admitted free of charge but must obtain a valid ticket.

Patrons are not permitted to bring their own popcorn, takeaway/hot food, alcoholic drinks, or glass bottles into the cinema.
